Dr Priya Sokhal is a highly-regarded and accomplished Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, with over 10 years’ experience in women’s healthcare spanning across the UK and Australia in both public and private sectors. With a multitude of publications in her field, Dr Sokhal has presented at international conference level, facilitated various teaching courses and has been active in the improvement of medical education for students and junior doctors alike.

Born and raised in London, Dr Sokhal graduated with honours from the prestigious Imperial College London and followed her dream of working abroad as a young doctor. Having always wanted to pursue a career in obstetrics and gynaecology, and after tasting life in Australia, she naturally embarked upon making the move permanent and completing her fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Dr Sokhal prides herself in promoting the empowerment of women and their families through their healthcare choices from pre-puberty to post-menopause. She is holistic in her approach to individualised care and, as a mother of two girls, has utilised her own personal experience to enrich both her gynaecological and obstetric practice.

Dr Sokhal offers a full obstetric and gynaecological service. She specialises in minimal access (keyhole) surgery and has particular interests in menstrual and hormonal issues, abnormal cervical screening tests, endometriosis, adenomyosis and menopause. Dr Sokhal manages normal and complex pregnancy and is passionate about facilitating all birth journeys and choices safely.

Dr Sokhal’s philosophy is to treat women the way she herself expects to be treated. In her spare time, she enjoys ocean swimming, cooking a variety of cuisines, fine dining, reading and all things French.
