Grace Gynaeoncology Group

The Grace Gynaeoncology Group is the largest private Gynaecological Oncology centre on the Gold Coast, and the only service offering its patients a private multidisciplinary meeting to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered to every patient.

Dr Elizabeth Goulding and Dr Helen Green are highly skilled and specialised surgeons. They have both been awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRANZCOG), and in addition to this have subspecialised, by completing advanced training in complex pelvic surgery and oncology, awarding them the additional Subspeciality qualification of Certificate in Gynaecological Oncology (CGO).

Dr Goulding and Dr Green are two of a very small pool of Gynaecological Oncologists servicing all of Queensland. They are proud to be able to offer their skills and expertise at Grace Private.

Dr Helen Green

MBBS, FRANZCOG, CGO

Dr Helen Green is a gynaecological oncologist specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of women with cancerous or precancerous gynaecological conditions. Helen’s other area of expertise is the use of minimally invasive surgery (both laparoscopic and robot-assisted procedures) to treat a range of benign gynaecological conditions including ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids and endometriosis.

Her focus is on providing excellence in care, with compassion and advocacy for women’s medical, psychological, social, cultural, and sexual needs.

A graduate of the University of Queensland, Helen completed her specialist training in gynaecology at the Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH). She subsequently gained a Certificate of Gynaecological Oncology after training at GCUH, The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse (Sydney) and King Edward Memorial Hospital (Perth).

Helen is particularly passionate about advances in gynaecological oncology that promote improved quality of life for her patients. To this end Dr Green has held many roles to facilitate advances in women’s health care. She was the Chair of the GCUH Human Research and Ethics Committee from 2020 to 2022. She was a Board Member of the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society (AGES) from 2019 to 2023.

Dr Green continues to deliver surgical education through the AGES Society. She is a regular presenter at both national and international conferences sharing her expertise with other specialists and specialists in training. Dr Green is also a member of the Australia Society of Gynaeoncological Oncologists (ASGO) and the Australian and New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG). She is a member of the ANZGOG Tumour Type Research Group for cervix, vulva and vaginal cancer.

Dr Elizabeth Goulding

A skilled and dedicated gynaeoncologist, Dr Goulding is passionate about offering holistic women centered care to her patients, and is committed to achieving the best oncological outcomes for her patients through utilising the latest surgical techniques and evidence-based medicine. She is dedicated to supporting her patients both during their cancer diagnosis and treatment and into their survivorship.

Dr Goulding excelled throughout her Fellowships, and was awarded first place in her subspecialty examinations. She started her subspecialty training with the highly competitive Fellowship at the Chris O’Brian Lifehouse (Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney) and went on to complete her training at Auckland City Hospital, the largest Gynaeoncological centre in Australia and New Zealand, and has developed exceptional clinical and surgical skills.

Dr Goulding is committed to lifelong learning and teaching, she is a well versed and engaging speaker having presented at international conferences and having multiple publications as first author in peer-reviewed journals. She continues to be actively engaged in the education of General Practitioners and the mentorship of junior doctors.

Dr Goulding has now relocated to the Gold Coast, and is one of only two Gynaecological Oncologists providing public health care to the Gold Coast and Northern NSW region. She is proud to be able to offer her specialised skills to women at Grace Private, and is able to deliver exceptional care in both gynaecological malignancies, pre-invasive and complex benign disease.
