Dr Sebastian Jacob-Rogers is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with advanced expertise in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery and complex benign gynaecological conditions. He completed specialist training through the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and is undertaking advanced laparoscopic training through the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery (AGES) fellowship program at Gold Coast University Hospital.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from The University of Queensland (UQ), holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), and is completing a Master of Reproductive Medicine through the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
Dr Jacob-Rogers has particular interests in endometriosis, pelvic pain, fibroids and advanced laparoscopic surgery, as well as the role of specialist gynaecological ultrasound and MRI in women’s imaging. He coordinates multidisciplinary surgical planning meetings for endometriosis and complex benign gynaecological conditions, helping ensure comprehensive and well-planned surgical care for patients.
He is actively involved in research, teaching and surgical outreach, including participation in laparoscopic surgical training and service outreach programs in Fiji and the pacific aimed at strengthening minimally invasive gynaecological surgery capacity in the region.
His research includes publications on the birth experiences of autistic women, maternal and neonatal outcomes at second-stage caesarean birth, and the role of imaging in the diagnosis and management of complex gynaecological disease.
