Endocrinology is the study of the effects of hormones on the human body. When hormones are released into the bloodstream, they affect the function of cells in other parts of the body. Hormones can be released by glands such as the hypothalamus and pituitary in the brain, thyroid, adrenals, pancreas and sex organs. At Grace, our Endocrinologist, Dr Sneha Krishna, can assist with gestational diabetes, thyroid issues and other endocrine concerns during pregnancy.

At Grace, our in-house endocrinologist and obstetric medicine specialist, Dr Sneha Krishna, specialises in caring for women with endocrine and medical conditions during preconception, pregnancy, and the postnatal period. Her areas of expertise include:

Diabetes, including Type 1, Type 2, and gestational diabetes
Thyroid disorders, including hypo- and hyperthyroidism
Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, including gestational hypertension and pre-eclampsia
Preconception counselling for women with pre-existing medical conditions such as diabetes and hypertension
Medical conditions arising during pregnancy, including gestational diabetes and gestational hypertension
Post-partum follow-up for endocrinology and pregnancy-related medical conditions

Dr Krishna works closely with obstetricians, GPs, and other specialists to provide coordinated, personalised, and evidence-based care in a supportive environment.
